Looking for a simple, light, delicious meal? Here it is!
A good friend of mine introduced me to tuna salad this way. I used to like to add lettuce, tomato and pickles to my tuna salad but this option is way better!
I think the trick is to chop the ingredients up really small. In the photo I added, they are small but I like them even smaller sometimes.
All it is – is tuna (in water- drain the water)
Finely chopped celery, onion, fresh jalapeño, mayonnaise, salt and pepper.
To make enough for two, I use two 5 oz cans of tuna, 2-3 celery sticks, 1/2 of a small yellow onion, and 1/2 -1 whole jalapeño (depending on how hot it is).
Add the mayo to the consistency you like and salt and pepper to taste, mix all ingredients together and you’re done!
My family uses Best Foods mayo – in my opinion, it just has a better taste.
We like to have ours on sandwich thins – and once in a while with whole wheat Ritz crackers!
