If you like sweet mixed drinks that go down easy (this could be trouble!) Then this is a perfect drink for you.
Once in a while my wife likes to have a mixed drink, a while back she asked me to make this particular one.
Me, being the master mixologist that I am, (haha) I decided to give it a try.
If you like colorful drinks, this is a great drink because it turns out to be a beautiful shade of green. Did I mention it is also so simple to make and modify to add more or less liquor to your preference? Perfect! Right? Yes 🙂
So here it goes…
The recipe is designed to be made in a hurricane glass, but I made mine in a pint glass because I didn’t have a hurricane glass handy.
The recipe calls for:
- Blue curacao
- Midori (melon liqueur)
- Captain Morgan (spiced rum)
- Malibu (coconut rum)
- Pineapple Juice
- Sweet & Sour Mix
Normally, you would fill the glass with ice – the photo I posted has no ice because my wife prefers little to no ice. (but I had all ingredients chilled)
Then add 1/2 oz of each of the liquors.
Fill with pineapple juice.
Add a splash of sweet and sour mix.
And that’s it! Simple right?
I’ve also had this drink in my younger years out at a bar one night and the bartender added sprite instead of the sweet and sour mix. Its a good substitute if you like a little fizz in your drinks.
